Comments - This idea started the whole drabble collection. Omi usually likes sleeping on my bed, but whenever I change the sheets, she sleeps on my parents' bed instead for a few days XD

Fay was woken by the world ending.

His ears flattened and he ventured cautiously toward the sound, crouching along the floor defensively. He could see his human pushing a monstrous alien being around the room. He watched, feeling a mixture of curiosity and nervousness, every muscle tensed and ready for him to spring into or away from action.

Suddenly, the monster changed course and was coming straight for him! Fay yelped and skittered off down the hallway, diving into the room where his human slept.

He paused in the door way, nose up in the air, sniffing confusedly. He stopped and his wide eyes blinked and he tilted his head. The top of his tail flicked.

He padded into the room, head bent down as he got a lungful of … carpet?

Why did the carpet smell … odd?

He climbed the stack of boxes and other trinkets to get onto the bed, breathing in deeply now, noticing the sheets didn’t smell normal either.

He blinked and flicked an ear in annoyance. He couldn’t figure it out!

He didn’t like it…

Kurogane sighed, putting the hoover away. He had seen Fay run off at the sight of the thing, and to be honest, if he were a kitten, he wouldn’t like the sound or the stupid melting-plastic smell it left either.

He guessed the small cat, a Lilac-pointed Birman according to Yuui, had decided to take refuge pretending to be a pillow. When he got to his room, however, there were no kittens, balls of fur or even any suspicious lumps in the duvet to be accounted for.

After a (worried) hour-long search, Kurogane found the eight-week old curled up and happily sleeping in a laundry basket.

He sighed, but didn’t have the heart to move him.

It was okay; the contents of the basket needed to be washed anyway.

also, This is Fay

Aww, Fai-kitty doesn't like the vaccum!! Tooo much cuteness!!! My pets hate it too. One of my dogs actually does hide in the bed when it gets used. *loves the author* I love reading cuteness after getting off work!

*giggles* *absorbs love*

next drabble: fay gets vetted~

Aww, i can imagine how that's gonna turn out. But Kuro-rin loves his Fai-kitty so it's good he goes!

Awwwwwww <33333
kitten!Fai doesn't like the hoover XDD *glomps kitten!Fai*
That's soooooo cute (and so true for pets XDDD)
*goes to read chapter 6*

Aww. A friend of mine has a Birman. ^^ She's a silly little thing. And totally in love with her owner too. Apparently she's as jealous too. And she loves to snuggle my friends breasts and lick her face. xD

These are so adorable. ♥ Makes me want to get a cat too.

my cat squeezes my breasts sometimes X___X

More cuteness~~! Fay is so cute XD

WAUGH! Hee hee- so Cute!!!

(it's a good think Kuro doesn't have a roomba. I hear they have a vendetta against catkind..) :D

lol i had to google roomba BD

that would be amusing.... poor Fay XD

Gyaaah! Fay-kitty-picture! The adorableness is too much for words! And so terribly, terribly Fay. If he were a kitten, that is exactly the type of kitten he would be.

(And, why, yes, I AM still stalking your fics. However did you know?)

I love all of these kitty-drabbles, and they generally leave me in a melting puddle of cute-induced diabetic shock. Yes, this is a good thing. I adore Kurogane in these, too--he tries so hard to pretend he's all tough and growly, and then his eight-week-old ball of fluff blinks big blue eyes up at him, and he melts all over himself (in his own gruff, manly, in-denial sort of way). So cuuuuuute.

*giggles* i'm glad you like them so much~~

oh dear. i really want my own lilac-pointed birman called fay now *falls over* i knew i shouldn't have looked for a breed LOL.
